ANNUAL REPORTS

Wildlife exemption annual reports, handled every year

A wildlife management plan is something you repeat every year. The annual report is how you show it happened. We help with both, whether or not we wrote your plan.

NOTHING FALLS THROUGH THE CRACKS

What is a wildlife exemption annual report?

Your plan says what you'll do; the annual report shows you did it. It's the Texas Parks and Wildlife report form plus your records for the year: activity logs, dated photos, receipts, and census sheets. Some county appraisal districts ask for it every year; others list it in their own guidelines. Filing every year is the safe habit either way.

Deadlines and expectations vary by county. Tell us yours and we will keep track of it.

What to keep through the year

  • Activity log: what was done, where, and when
  • Dated photos before and after each practice
  • Receipts for seed, boxes, materials, or contract work
  • Census records: stand counts, camera surveys, harvest

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Annual report questions

What is an annual report for the wildlife tax exemption?

It is the Texas Parks and Wildlife annual report form plus your records: activity logs, dated photos, receipts, and census sheets showing the plan was carried out that year. The plan says what you intend to do; the annual report shows what you did. More on our annual reports page.

Do I have to file an annual report every year?

Some county appraisal districts send a request each year, and others list the requirement in their own guidelines. Filing every year is the safe habit either way, because it keeps your records current if the district ever asks.

Can you file my annual report if someone else wrote my plan?

Yes. Send us your plan and your records for the year, and we will prepare the report and help you file it. If the plan no longer matches what is happening on the ground, we will tell you.

What records should I keep through the year?

For each practice, a short log of what was done and when, dated photos before and after, receipts for seed, boxes, or contract work, and your census sheets or camera survey notes. Keeping them as you go makes the report quick to put together.
